On February 15, 2019, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Records, affiliated to the Ministry of Environment and Cities of the Republic of Turkey, issued Circular No. 1/2019, stressing the need for a real estate appraisal report as of the date of issuance of the decision for each foreigner.

The Tabu Directorate added that the real estate appraisal is no longer limited to investors who apply for Turkish citizenship, but has become one of the most important papers needed by foreign dealers in buying and selling real estate in Turkey.
