The Turkish Tog car and its competitiveness with international brands
Sixty years ago, Turkey produced the first purely Turkish-made car, and it was called the (Revolution), but a problem in filling it with fuel led to its stopping after a short distance, which led to the exploitation of this position by the opponents of this project and thus to its abortion.
Today, history repeats itself with the provision of more effective conditions for the production of a Turkish car with international specifications that uses electric energy, as the Turkish car factory under the name (Tog) was opened in the Gemlik district of Bursa Governorate, on the 99th Turkish Republic Day, which falls in the year 2022.

In preparation for this car’s entry into the street, electric chargers designated for refueling it were installed in all 81 Turkish states.
At the beginning of April 2023, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had received the keys to the first Tug car in a ceremony held in the capital, Ankara, where it was distinguished as the first Turkish car that runs on electric power, and has specifications that compete with international cars, as it is produced with two types of engine power, the first with a power of 200 horsepower. rear-wheel drive, and the second 400-horsepower four-wheel drive, with a maximum speed of 180 km per hour, and a long-term lithium-ion battery capacity.
These and other specifications make this car a competitive ability with international cars, especially since its prices are suitable and it has found great demand on the part of the Turkish market.
